Indira Nunez was born in 1985 in Caracas-Venezuela. She finished her Contemporary Dance studies at the National Dance School of Venezuela and in 2002 she started to work with the Dance Company 100%Impro in Caracas-Venezuela. At the age of 19 she moved to Vienna, and started working in many different projects with the Company Tanz*Hotel , Tanz-theater Homunculus, Serapions Theater, Milli Bitterli, Lena Wicke und Rosemarie Poiarkov, Elisabeth Tambwe, cie.Willi Dorner, Paulus Manker, Daniel Aschwanden, between others and also in other different collective projects.
She has worked as assistant of choreography for Elisabeth Tambwe cia. Dig Up in Vienna. During the same year she finished the Multimedia Studies in the Fotoschule Vienna, where she explored the area of photography and Video Art. With her solo performance Cicatrix, she was on the residence program Artist At Resort, coached by Bert Gstettner.
In 2015 she co-founded the Performance Collective hy.per.form, with her sister the Arquitect Ingrid Nunez, under the support of the graphic designer Sarah Krainer. She was an Artist in Residency at the Tanzquartier Wien with her new production Sehn.Sucht.
The 00. And 10.of September 2016 will be the Premier of hy.per.form new Solo Performance Sehn.Sucht at the WUK theater performing arts season opening. In company with the musician Thomas Jirku and with the dramaturgic support of Thomas Jelinek.
Since April 2012 Indira teaches yoga in the Tanzquartier Wien
